(Sharecast News) - British home improvement company Wickes said second-half like-for-like sales grew 5.3%, driven by its retail and design and installation businesses, and added that annual earnings would be within forecasts.
Revenue for the months to December 27 came in at 788m. For the full year LFL sales rose 4.9% to 1.63bn.
Retail LFL revenue rose 5.1% to 574m in the second half and 5.7 to 1.2bn for 2025.
Sales to trade professionals were up 8% year-on-year, with membership of Wickes TradePro scheme increasing 11% year-on-year to 643,000.
DIY sales were in mid-single digit growth, with volumes driven by increasing customer transactions.
Design & Installation revenue rose 6.1% on a LFL basis to 214m for the half, with Wickes reporting a positive reaction to enhancements made to its kitchen and bathroom offering. For the
Wickes said it expects adjusted pre-tax profit to be within its own compiled consensus forecast range of 46.8m-50.7m.
