(Sharecast News) - The Thanksgiving holiday shortened week got underway with early gains on Monday, following recent weakness that has dented this year's AIdriven rally.

As of 1445 GMT, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.08% at 46,283.25, while the S&P 500 advanced 0.72% to 6,650.25, and the Nasdaq Composite came out of the gate 1.47% firmer at 22,599.91.

The Dow opened 37.84 points higher on Monday, building on solid gains recorded in the previous session.

Monday's early moves follow Friday's gains, which came after New York Federal Reserve president John Williams signalled scope for "further adjustment" to interest rates, leaving the door open to a potential cut in December. Futures markets now price in almost a 70% chance of a quarterpoint cut at the FOMC's final meeting of the year on 10 December, up from around 44% a week earlier.

Shares in tech giant Alphabet were in the green early on Monday as investors grew more confident about the Google parent company's position in the artificial intelligence space following the unveiling of its upgraded AI model, Gemini 3.

Elsewhere in the corporate space, Zoom Communications will report its latest quarterly earnings after the close.

On the macro front, the Dallas Federal Reserve's November manufacturing index will be published at 1530 GMT.
