HL Multi-Manager Strategic Bond
An introduction by Lee Gardhouse, fund manager
The HL Multi-Manager Strategic Bond Trust is constructed to hold our favoured fixed interest funds. The underlying investments will mainly consist of gilts, foreign government bonds and debt issued by companies listed in the UK and overseas. In the majority we will invest in collective investment schemes but do have the ability to buy individual government bonds. Please remember the value of investments can fall as well as rise, so you could get back less than you invest.
Our quantitative analysis of the funds and their underlying securities forms the basis for selecting and reviewing holdings and is supplemented by meetings with fund managers. Whilst we are looking to maximise total returns we are also focused on controlling risk, especially during periods where we feel returns offered are not sufficient for the risk taken.
