How to sell bonds
Selling bonds is quickest on our website or mobile app. You can also sell over the phone. Here’s how to sell bonds.

How to sell on the website
- Log in online to see your accounts.
- Select ‘Deal now’ from your chosen account’s Actions list.
- Select ‘Sell’ from the list of options.
- Select to sell your entire holding, or select to sell a specific number of units, or a specific amount.
- Enter the number of units or amount you want to sell and select ‘Continue’.
- Check the details, including the value or number of units you’re selling.
- Select ‘Place a deal now’ to confirm your trade.
How to sell on the mobile app
- Select ‘Accounts’ in the bottom left corner.
- Log in using the verification method you have set up.
- Select the account containing the bond you want to sell.
- Select the right bond, then select ‘Deal now’.
- Select ‘Sell’, then tap to sell either the entire bond or part of it. If you choose to sell part of it, enter the number of units or amount you want to sell and select ‘Continue’.
- Check the details, including the value or number of units you’re selling.
- Select ‘Place instruction’ to confirm your trade.
What happens next
The money from your sale will go into your Capital Account once your trade has completed.
From here you can move it to another part of your account or withdraw it to your nominated bank account.
