Make an employer contribution to an
employee's SIPP

What the employee needs to remember

  • The HL SIPP is designed for people comfortable choosing their own investments. The value of all investments can rise and fall, so although there’s the potential for growth, you could also get back less than you invest. If you’re not sure which investments are right for you, please ask us about financial advice. There’s no personal advice on our website.
  • You usually need to be at least 55 before you can access the money in your pension (rising to 57 from 2028). Pension and tax rules can change, and benefits will depend on your circumstances.

What the employee needs to read first

Please contact us if you have any queries on any of the above documents.

How to make an employer contribution by debit card

The first time an employer makes a debit card contribution to an HL client’s SIPP, they’ll need to call our helpdesk on 0117 980 9926 with the client present to give their authority. We can then register the company and take the employer contribution in one call.

Once the company is registered the employer can make future contributions to an HL client’s SIPP by calling us themselves, and quoting the appropriate HL client number or National Insurance number.

Payments up to £99,999 can be made by debit card. Multiple payments can be made if the desired contribution value is greater. To avoid large payments being blocked or delayed, the relevant bank should be informed ahead of time.

How to make an employer contribution by bank transfer

Payments to an HL client’s SIPP should be made from an account in the employer’s name. If we do not receive the below details of the contribution, we will return the funds to source. If the company is not registered with Companies House in the UK, please first call us on 0117 980 9926.

What an employer will need

  • Scheme type: Self-Invested Personal Pension

  • The company name and registered address
  • The name of the company account from which the payment is being made
  • The amount being transferred

Bank account details for payment

Bank Account Number: 03310401
Sort Code: 30-92-13
Account Name: HLPT LTD SIPP TRUSTEE A/C

If we cannot verify the source of funds, we’ll request further evidence before we apply the money to an account. Once we’ve received the contribution details and payment, we’ll process your payment and send confirmation. The contribution will usually show in your employee’s SIPP by the close of business on the day of receipt, but please be aware it can take up to two working days.
