Treasury 1.75% 2038 Index-Linked Gilt is a new gilt launching on the London Stock Exchange.
You can find out more about the Treasury 1.75% 2038 Index-Linked gilt launch in the Information Memorandum and the associated press notice. You must read both documents before you invest as they'll help you understand the risks of investing in a gilt.
Any application to participate in the Offer can and will only be made on the basis of the Information Memorandum, together with any supplements thereto.
Unlike bond new issues, you will not know the price (typically £100 per bond or £1 per unit) when making an application. The price will be negotiated between syndicate members and prospective investors on Tuesday 10 June. You will receive the mutually agreed price which may be above £100 per gilt or £1 per unit.
Index-linked gilts are issued at the 'real clean price' which is not adjusted for inflation. Once issued, trading in index-linked gilts, and the interest paid, will be adjusted for inflation. For further information on how this works, please read the Information Memorandum.
Launch details
Investing in the Treasury 1.75% 2038 Index-Linked gilt launch isn't right for everyone. You should only invest if the gilt's objectives align with your own, and there's a specific need for this type of investment within your portfolio.
