(Sharecast News) - Arkadian Strategic Metals said on Tuesday that it had launched a series of technical and environmental workstreams to advance its Motzfeldt critical metals project in southern Greenland towards a potential exploitation licence application.
The AIM-traded company said SRK Consulting was reviewing the existing JORC mineral resource and historic data, while NIRAS was assessing engineering and infrastructure options and BioApp was set to carry out environmental baseline studies in August.
Theia X will also undertake satellite remote sensing in July to identify rare earth element hotspots, alongside field-based hyperspectral imaging at the Merino prospect in July and August, while first-pass metallurgical test results are expected in the next few weeks.
At the Clogau-St David's gold mine in Wales, Arkadian said underground winch repairs and a major crusher service had delayed some activity, while Level 5 development had been paused pending detailed sampling and mineralogical review.
Executive chairman George Frangeskides said the company was applying a "disciplined" approach across both projects, with decisions driven by technical evidence.
