(Sharecast News) - Atome said in an update on Friday that negotiations over the equity funding for its flagship Villeta fertiliser project in Paraguay were in their final stages, with definitive documentation now being completed.
The AIM-traded low-carbon fertiliser developer said discussions with the project's equity consortium were nearing conclusion as legal advisers finalised the relevant agreements for the $650m, 260,000-tonne-per-year facility.
It said it had extended the longstop date for completion of the funding process by one week to 17 April.
That coincided with the 2026 Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group in Washington, DC, where representatives of the project's equity and debt participants were expected to be present.
Atome said it expected to provide a further update at or following the conclusion of those meetings as it worked towards finalising the financing package for the Villeta development.
At 1224 BST, shares in Atome were up 23.97% at 75p.
