(Sharecast News) - GlobalData said on Wednesday that it intends to move its listing from AIM to the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange, with admission expected to take place on 5 March.

The company said it planned to apply for the admission of its entire issued share capital to the Equity Shares (Commercial Companies) category of the Financial Conduct Authority's Official List, with trading on the London Stock Exchange's Main Market commencing at 0800 GMT on 5 March.

At the same time, GlobalData's ordinary shares were expected to be cancelled from trading on AIM, with the final day of trading on AIM anticipated to be 4 March.

The company said the move would be implemented through an introduction of the company's existing ordinary shares, rather than a capital raise.

As a result, admission to the Main Market would not be conditional on shareholder approval, although it remained subject to regulatory conditions, including approval of a prospectus by the FCA and the admission of the shares to both the Official List and the Main Market.

At 1414 GMT, shares in GlobalData were down 0.84% at 94.8p.
