(Sharecast News) - Strategic Minerals said on Thursday that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Cornwall Resources (CRL), had confirmed the discovery of a new tin-dominant mineralised structure at the Redmoor tungsten-tin-copper project in southeast Cornwall, potentially supporting future resource growth beyond the existing Sheeted Vein System deposit.

The AIM-traded firm described the newly-identified 'North Tin Zone' as a distinct and laterally continuous structure separate from the Redmoor SVS deposit and its 2019 high-grade mineral resource estimate.

It said the discovery followed analysis of drillhole CRD041, recent relogging and sampling, validation of 1980s Southwest Minerals datasets and updated geological modelling.

Drillhole CRD041 intersected visible cassiterite within the North Tin Zone, returning four metres at 0.25% tin and 0.01% copper from 476 metres, including two metres at 0.4% tin and 0.02% copper from 478 metres.

The company said that confirmed a continuous tin-dominant structure in the hanging wall of the SVS.

Historical intersections from CRL and 1980s SWM drilling also supported the presence of higher-grade tin mineralisation within the zone, including one metre at 5.13% tin in CRD029 and 0.7 metres at 3.4% tin and 0.71% copper in RM82_24.

Additional relogging and sampling of drill core outside the SVS was underway to further define the extent of the North Tin Zone and other non-SVS mineralised structures.

Subject to estimation and assessment of reasonable prospects for eventual economic extraction, the North Tin Zone would be included in the upcoming mineral resource estimate update and may form a new, non-SVS resource alongside the updated SVS estimate.

Dennis Rowland, managing director of Cornwall Resources, said the results and new modelling had confirmed "the discovery of a new tin-dominant mineralised structure outside of the SVS deposit", adding that the North Tin Zone "has been shown to be a large, distinct and continuous structure" and would be included in the upcoming MRE and RPEEE analysis.

Executive chairman Charles Manners said the zone had previously gone unnoticed, but validation of the 1980s drill data and results from the 2025 drilling and relogging programmes had demonstrated additional mineralisation potential at Redmoor separate from the SVS.

He added that Redmoor's exposure to tungsten, tin, copper and silver provided a "very advantageous basket of minerals" amid tightening supply and strong demand across critical minerals markets.

At 1128 GMT, shares in Strategic Minerals were up 0.68% at 3.32p.
