(Sharecast News) - Tristel announced on Thursday that its chief financial officer Liz Dixon would retire from the company on 30 June, concluding a long tenure that started in 2007.

The AIM-listed infection prevention specialist said a recruitment process for her successor was already underway and was progressing well, with a further announcement to follow in due course.

Dixon joined Tristel as group chief accountant, and became finance director of its main trading subsidiary in 2009, before joining the board in 2010.

The board said she played a key role in securing market access in North America and supporting the company's international growth.

Tristel chair Bruno Holthof and CEO Matt Sassone both praised her contributions, highlighting her impact on the company's financial strength, commercial success, and leadership continuity.

Dixon said she was leaving the business in a strong position for its next phase of growth and expressed confidence in the leadership team.

At 1018 BST, shares in Tristel were down 0.13% at 397p.
