(Sharecast News) - Shipping services provider Clarksons announced a forthcoming board change on Thursday, with independent nonexecutive director Tim Miller set to step down at the end of the group's 2027 annual general meeting, choosing not to stand for reelection after nine years on the board.

Miller, who also chairs the remuneration committee, will be succeeded in that role by Martine Bond, currently an independent nonexecutive director and committee member since 2022. Bond will take over as remuneration committee chair from the conclusion of the AGM.

Chairman Laurence Hollingworth said: "We would like to thank Tim for his many years of service to Clarksons, and in particular his invaluable contribution as chair of the remuneration committee. We wish him all the very best for the future."

The FTSE 250-listed firm added that a search for a new nonexecutive director would now begin.

As of 1015 BST, Clarksons shares were down 1.5% at 4,984p.
