(Sharecast News) - GE Aerospace lifted its full-year profit outlook again on Tuesday as it hailed a strong third quarter.
In the three months to 30 September, profit from continuing operations came in at $2.41bn, or $2.32 a share, up from $2.17bn or $2.04 in the same period a year earlier.
Adjusted earnings per share grew 36% to $2.25, beating analysts' expectations of $2.01, while total revenue rose 16% to $14.1bn and total orders jumped 49% to $19bn amid "solid" demand.
For 2026, the company now expects adjusted earnings of between $8 and 8.10 per share, up from previous guidance of $7.65 to $7.95. GE Aerospace said it now expects adjusted revenue growth of around 19% to 20%, having previously forecast growth in the "high teens".
Operating profit guidance was lifted to between $10.9bn and $11bn, from between $10.55bn and $10.75bn. The company also said it now expects free cash flow of $9.1bn to $9.4bn, having previously guided to between $8.9bn and $9.2bn.
Chairman and chief executive H. Lawrence Culp, Jr., said: "We are raising our 2026 guidance across the board, and we now expect 2027 commercial services to grow low-double-digits supported by our over $170 billion commercial services backlog.
"Thanks to the collaboration of the GE Aerospace team with our supplier partners we continue to build momentum. By leveraging FLIGHT DECK fundamentals, year-to-date commercial services revenue and total engine deliveries were both up over 20%, including another quarter of record internal shop visit output. All the while, we're continuing to invest in our customers' needs with our agreement to acquire CPP to expand capacity, and over $3 billion in annual R&D to advance current and future technologies."
