Hammerson names Gina Szymanski as CFO

(Sharecast News) - Property developer Hammerson tapped Gina Szymanski to take over as chief financial officer on Monday, with Szymanski set to take up her role and join the board no later than 1 January 2027.

Szymanski joins Hammerson from AEW Capital Management, where she currently serves as global securities chief investment officer, based in Boston, Massachusetts. Hammerson said its new CFO has "extensive experience" across finance, capital markets, investment, REITs and corporate strategy.

Chief executive Rob Wilkinson said "I am delighted to welcome Gina to Hammerson. She brings a combination of deep sector expertise, capital markets insight and a strong track record of value creation.

"Having spent more than two decades investing in global listed real estate, she has a clear understanding of what drives shareholder returns and the evolving needs of investors."

As of 1030 BST, Hammerson shares were down 0.54% at 332.40p.
