(Sharecast News) - Jet2 said summer 2026 bookings were running ahead of last year's levels, with demand proving resilient despite the war in Iran and Lebanon and added that it planned to move its listing to London's main market.

Bookedtodate passenger numbers for the summer season were up 8.8%, surpassing the 7.1% growth reported in July, while winter 2026-27 seat capacity rose 8% yearonyear, concentrated at Gatwick, the company said in a statement on Thursday.

Jet2 said the wider aviation sector continues to grapple with elevated energy costs and softer travel demand as the Middle East conflict enters its seventh month.

The travel group also highlighted the strength of its fuel hedging position, having secured 93% of its requirement for the year ending March 2027 at an average of $753 a tonne, giving it greater cost visibility as industry pressures persist.
