(Sharecast News) - Investment manager Man Group reported a solid rise in assets under management in the third quarter, increasing to $270.9bn as at 30 September from $253.6bn three months earlier, marking continued momentum across both alternatives and longonly strategies.
Man Group said on Friday that it had seen $10.1bn of net inflows over the period, alongside $5.9bn of positive investment performance and a further $1.3bn contribution from other movements.
Liquid alternatives remained the biggest driver, with AuM rising to $99.7bn from $92.9bn, helped by $1.9bn of net inflows and $3bn of investment gains. Private markets were broadly stable at $17.4bn, reflecting flat flows and muted performance.
Longonly strategies also delivered growth, with equity AuM climbing to $113.2bn from $104.2bn, supported by $5.8bn of inflows and $3.3bn of investment gains, while longonly credit rose to $40.6bn, with $2.4bn of inflows partly offset by weaker performance.
As of 0915 BST, Man Group shares were up 1.07% at 340p.
