(Sharecast News) - Metlen Energy & Metals on Monday said it had signed a supply agreement with Malaysia's Petronas for delivery of LNG shipments to Greece.
Under the deal, Petronas will deliver six cargoes per year from its Atlantic portfolio, amounting to approximately 0.6bn metres per year over a period of five years starting in 2027. No financial details were disclosed.
Metlen said the agreement strengthens its energy sector utility strategy to diversify LNG supply sources, improving flexibility and resilience in procurement while supporting security of supply in Greece and the wider Southeast European region. It added that the deal also reinforces Greece's position as a strategic regional energy hub.
