(Sharecast News) - Tritax Big Box REIT said on Wednesday that it has appointed Nick Prettejohn as its next chair.

Prettejohn will succeed Aubrey Adams, who plans to retire at the end of the year. He will join the board as an independent non-executive director and chair designate with immediate effect.

To ensure an orderly transition, Adams will continue to serve as chair until 31 December, with Prettejohn assuming the role from 1 January 2027.

Prettejohn is currently chair of Reach, a position he has held since 2018, and has previously served as chair of TSB Banking Group, Scottish Widows and Brit Insurance. He was also senior independent director of YouGov and a non-executive director and chair of the Risk Committee at both Lloyds Banking Group and Legal & General.

Earlier in his career, he served as chief executive of Prudential UK & Europe and CEO of Lloyd's of London. He has also held a number of public and regulatory appointments, including roles with the Prudential Regulation Authority and the BBC Trust.
