(Sharecast News) - Arc Minerals said on Friday that its geophysical programme at the Virgo copper project in Botswana was nearing completion ahead of drilling scheduled to begin in August.
The company said it had extended the induced polarisation survey to refine targets and was in advanced discussions with drilling contractors, while a 3m fundraising completed during the quarter had fully funded the exploration campaign and working capital.
In Zambia, Arc said it had concluded a comprehensive settlement agreement resolving all outstanding legal disputes over the Kabompo West project, allowing it to progress technical evaluation and discussions with potential strategic partners.
Chief executive Rmy Welschinger said the group was "entering an important phase" after advancing work in Botswana and settling its disputes in Zambia.
At 1619 BST, shares in Arc Minerals were up 18.18% at 0.65p.
