(Sharecast News) - Celsius Resources confirmed on Friday that it would issue additional free-attaching options to participants in the second tranche of its recent placing, following shareholder approval at its 28 April general meeting.

The AIM-traded firm said the additional options would be granted on a one-for-two basis and mirror the terms of those previously approved, exercisable at one Australian cent with a three-year expiry.

It said the move, advised by its placing adviser, reflected a gesture of goodwill to investors amid challenging market conditions and heightened geopolitical uncertainty.

All participants in both tranches of the placing, including directors Mark van Kerkwijk and Paul Dudley as well as Silvercorp Metals, would be eligible to receive the new options.

Celsius said it was preparing a prospectus for the issue of both the original and additional placing options, which were proposed to be quoted on the ASX in Sydney, subject to regulatory approval.

Should ASX conditions not be met, the options would still be issued as unquoted securities.

Celsius said the securities were expected to be issued around 16 May.
