(Sharecast News) - Northern Bear announced the appointment of Julian Davis as its chief financial officer with immediate effect on Friday, strengthening its executive team with a finance professional who was bringing "extensive" sector experience.
The AIM-traded firm said Davis previously spent a decade as CFO at Strata Homes, a regional residential developer, where he played a key role in delivering strategic and financial performance.
A chartered accountant who began his career at KPMG, Davis had worked across listed and private companies in construction, contracting and housebuilding.
The company said his appointment would support its continued growth as a provider of specialist building and support services across the UK.
"On behalf of the board, I would like to welcome Julian as our new chief financial officer," said non-executive chairman Simon Carr CBE.
"He brings significant industry experience having worked with successful construction companies both in an advisory and operational capacity.
"I am confident that Julian will make a significant contribution to Northern Bear's future growth."
At 1235 BST, shares in Northern Bear were up 1.61% at 67.57p.
