(Sharecast News) - Great Western Mining said new channel sampling at its Defender-Pine Crow project in Nevada had returned significant tungsten mineralisation, supporting its view of a two-to-three-kilometre mineralised corridor ahead of maiden drilling.
Results included 27 metres at 0.15% WO3 from Channel C, including 11 metres at 0.25% WO3, and 18 metres at 0.15% WO3 from Channel F, including 6 metres at 0.22% WO3.
The AIM-traded company said the results would inform a fully permitted maiden drilling programme expected to start in the coming weeks.
Chief executive Ed Loye said the latest work had "confirmed broad and significant tungsten mineralisation" and strengthened Great Western's interpretation of "a significant at-surface, multi-kilometre tungsten corridor."
At 1010 BST, shares in Great Western Mining Corporation were down 1.95% at 3.11p.
