(Sharecast News) - Nichols announced the September launch of Myprotein Clear Whey Protein on Monday under a multi-year brand licensing agreement with THG, expanding its functional drinks portfolio into protein-fortified beverages.
The AIM-traded firm said the 500ml range will be available in Vimto and Raspberry Lemon flavours, priced at 2.99, with each bottle containing 15g of clear whey protein, no sugar and low calories.
Nichols said it will manufacture and distribute the range through its UK network across convenience, wholesale and grocery channels.
Chief executive Andrew Milne said the launch combined Myprotein's sports nutrition credentials with Nichols' soft drinks expertise and was expected to support "long term, profitable growth."
At 1325 BST, shares in Nichols were up 1.48% at 960p.
