Friday preview: US consumer confidence, housing starts in focus

(Sharecast News) - Investors' attention at the end of the week will continue to be on the inflation picture Stateside.

In particular, at 1400 BST the University of Michigan will release the results of its consumer confidence survey for July.

Also due out, but at 1230 BST, the Department of Commerce will publish housing starts and building permits figures for June.

Monthly readings for the euro area current account and construction sector output in May are also due out.
