Galliford Try appointed to £1.6bn University of Oxford framework

(Sharecast News) - Construction firm Galliford Try announced on Wednesday that it has been appointed to £1.6bn University of Oxford framework.

Galliford Try said it has been appointed to the Oxford Inspire framework for construction services on behalf of the University of Oxford, with the company selected for Lot 2 of the framework.

The FTSE 250-listed firm stated the framework was worth up to £1.6bn over eight years, for projects in excess of £15m in value, which will include large-scale, new build and refurbishment schemes.

Chief executive Bill Hocking said: "Our business has a strong track record in delivering high-quality facilities to all parts of the education sector. We are delighted to be appointed to the Oxford Inspire framework and we look forward to delivering for staff and students across the University's estate."

As of 1130 BST, Galliford Try shares were unchanged at 694p.
