(Sharecast News) - Business-critical communications technology provider Gamma Communications has tapped Damien Maltarp to take over as chief financial officer following a comprehensive search and selection process.
Gamma Communications said on Friday that Maltarp will succeed Bill Castell, who will be leaving the Group on 31 March to take up an executive role at a private equity-backed firm.
The FTSE 250-listed group said Maltarp, who currently serves as group financial controller for London Stock Exchange Group, will join the board no later than September, with his exact start date yet to be confirmed.
In the interim, a senior member of Gamma's finance function will manage the internal financial operations, reporting directly to chief executive Andrew Belshaw, who will manage investor and analyst matters.
Maltarp said: "I am delighted to be joining Gamma, a business I have admired for some time. This is an incredibly exciting time for the group as Gamma further strengthens its position as a European provider of business-critical technology. I look forward to working with Andrew and the team and contributing to the group's continued success."
As of 0825 GMT, Gamma shares were up 0.23% at 868p.
