  • All investments should be regarded as for the long term. Their value can go down as well as up, so your child could get back less than is invested. Any yield is variable and not guaranteed.
  • Remember tax rules can change and the benefits depend on your child's personal circumstances.
  • Once in a pension your child’s money is not usually accessible until at least age 55 (57 from 2028 which is likely to rise in the future), up to 25% usually tax free and the rest taxed as income. There are no withdrawal limits although remember their pension probably needs to last throughout their retirement in order to maintain their future standard of living.
  • Nothing on the website should be regarded as personal advice so if you have any doubts as to the suitability of an investment for your child’s personal circumstances please contact us for written advice.

Before you invest, please understand the risks and terms and conditions (including tariff of charges) of your investment. Please also read the Junior SIPP key features.

Hargreaves Lansdown PLC group companies will usually send you further information by post and/or email about our products and services. If you would prefer not to receive this, please do let us know.
