(Sharecast News) - Oracle Power said on Thurdsay that it will move ahead with expanded exploration work at its Blue Rock Valley copper and silver project in Western Australia after positive results from a maiden geochemical sampling programme identified strong anomalies along a two-kilometre strike length.

The AIM-traded company said it would extend geochemical sampling to the northwest, where responses appear stronger and occur through colluvial cover, and has requested a quote for a Mobile MT geophysical survey to test for structurally hosted copper and gold mineralisation.

"It is great to formulate a solid exploration plan to follow up on the maiden geochemical sampling programme at Blue Rocks, where anomalies related well to known mineralisation, with new zones identified to the northwest," said chief executive Naheed Memon.

"The northwest will be focused on with planned infill and extension geochemical sampling programme.

"To cover the trend, a quote for Mobile MT, an airborne geophysical technique, has been requested and this may be successful at delineating fluid pathways associated with high-grade copper mineralisation."

Oracle Power said the expanded programme aimed to refine drill targets ahead of future exploration phases.

At 1451 BST, shares in Oracle Power were up 0.75% at 0.01p.
