(Sharecast News) - Finseta announced the appointment of Andrew Richards as interim chief financial officer with immediate effect on Friday, following its announcement earlier in the month regarding changes to its finance leadership.
The AIM-traded foreign exchange and payments solutions provider said Richards was bringing 25 years of experience across the financial services and insurance sectors.
He was joining Finseta from Chesnara, where he spent 12 years, including 11 years as group financial controller with responsibility for financial reporting, audit processes and support for merger and acquisition activity across multiple jurisdictions.
During his time at Chesnara, Richards also served for nine years as chief financial officer of Countrywide Assured, the group's principal UK operating subsidiary, overseeing financial strategy and management.
Prior to that, he worked as a senior manager in the financial services practice at Deloitte, where he started his career.
He is a chartered accountant.
Finseta said outgoing CFO Judy Happe would work with Richards over the coming weeks to ensure an orderly handover of responsibilities.
The board added that it had made progress in its search for a permanent CFO to join the board and would provide a further update in due course.
At 0945 GMT, shares in Finseta were up 8.47% at 16p.
