Fund Objective

The objective of the Fund is to achieve long-termcapital appreciation through investment in a portfolio primarily invested in securities of UK companies. The Fund will primarily invest in securities of UK companies. Up to 10% of the value of the Fund may be invested in non-UK companies. The Fundmay also invest inmoneymarket instruments, deposits,warrants and units in other collective investment schemes. The benchmark against which performance is measured is the FTSE All Share TR Index in Sterling. At all times at least two thirds of the Fund's total assets will be invested in equity securities of companies domiciled or exercising the predominant part of their economic activity in the United Kingdom. The Fund may use derivatives (complex instruments) in an attempt to reduce the overall risk of its investments or reduce the costs of investing, although this may not be achieved.
