(Sharecast News) - Empyrean Energy reported that the cultural heritage survey for the Wilson River-1 well site had been completed, with no previously registered or identified cultural heritage features found at the designated drill location.
The AIM-traded firm said that following the survey, site preparations had started, including the remediation of existing access tracks and the clearing of the drilling pad area.
It said the well is operated by Chi Oil and Gas, with Empyrean holding an interest in the project.
"With the necessary land access agreement complete and the cultural heritage survey done, we are commencing drill site clearing and preparations are on track for drilling to commence in March, subject only to receipt of final drilling approvals and weather," said chief executive officer Tom Kelly.
"We look forward to providing further updates as we progress preparations to drill."
At 1149 GMT, shares in Empyrean Energy were down 4.47% at 0.14p.
