(Sharecast News) - Jubilee Metals Group announced on Friday that its Roan concentrator facility in Zambia had started processing high-grade copper feed material, marking a key step in its accelerated production plan.
The AIM-traded company confirmed that the feed material was in line with management expectations, with assays exceeding 1.6% copper - approximately double the grade of material previously processed at Roan.
It said the increased feed grade was expected to significantly boost copper production at the facility, which has a processing capacity of 45,000 tonnes per month.
Jubilee said it had secured rights to an initial 200,000 tonnes of high-grade copper feed material, with an option to increase the allocation for a potential long-term supply.
The firm said the new feedstock formed part of its strategy to recover lost production over a short period and improve overall output.
Further operational updates were expected as Jubilee continued to ramp up processing at Roan.
At 1246 GMT, shares in Jubilee Metals Group were up 2.6% at 3.95p.
